Hanoi, Vietnam
What luck! We get into Hanoi and the place is
crawling with brides and grooms. Turns out December 7th is a most auspicious day to wed in Vietnam for young couples this year.

The young Vietnamese girl at our hotel informed me that the elders in the family usually consult the Vietnamese calendar and determine a lucky wedding date based on the birthdays of the couple and other factors. As you can see, Vietnamese wedding attire differs greatly from their neighbor Laos, with most couples preferring the Western style dress.

There was a lot of
Blue Steel going on in these wedding shoots. Most couples chose public parks and local landmarks to stage their pictures. Photographers brought along extra props for the couples to use.
We didn't crash any receptions - it was a trip enough just to see so many different couples posing for pictures. And the white tuxes. Gotta love the white tuxes.
